UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a competitive examination at the national level in India for the recruitment to higher Civil Services of the Government of India such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various other Group Services. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) yearly. 

UPSC CSE is one of the highly reputed examinations that is being conducted in the country. Despite the surge in employment opportunities in the private sector, the aura around the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) is still intact and, in fact, has been growing in recent years. 

Every year, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) receives around 10-12 lakh applications for the Civil Services Examination(CSE).
