UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a competitive examination at the national level in India for the recruitment to higher Civil Services of the Government of India such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various other Group Services. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) yearly.
UPSC CSE is one of the highly reputed examinations that is being conducted in the country. Every year, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) receives around 10-12 lakh applications for the Civil Services Examination(CSE).

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years.
